The HamSCI PSWS FlexRadio system utilizes the FLEX-6600 software-defined HF transceiver as a Reverse Beacon Network (RBN) node. It operates using the DAX I/Q stream feature to pass wideband I/Q data to CW Skimmer via SDR-Bridge. The FLEX-6600 supports up to four 192 kHz I/Q streams, allowing simultaneous skimming of multiple HF amateur bands. I/Q data may be recorded for scientific analysis of ionospheric variability and space weather events. The system may also be configured with a GPS-disciplined reference clock to ensure high frequency stability. The FlexRadio system is part of the HamSCI Personal Space Weather Station (PSWS) project and has been deployed to support community science campaigns including solar eclipse observations.
