The Hinode Solar Optical Telescope Spectro-Polarimeter (SOT-SP) Level 0 FITS dataset consists of uncalibrated FITS files generated from spacecraft telemetry. The dataset contains spectro-polarimetric observations of the Fe I 630.15 nm and 630.25 nm spectral lines obtained with a slit spectrograph and polarization modulation system. The Level 0 FITS products preserve detector-oriented spectro-polarimetric measurements prior to scientific calibration and inversion processing. The observations include wavelength, slit spatial dimensions, polarization beam information, and Stokes measurements used for subsequent derivation of solar magnetic-field parameters.

Hinode is a Japanese mission developed and operated by JAXA in collaboration with NAOJ, NASA, STFC (UK), and international partners.
