GOES-18 EXIS/XRS science-quality Level 2 one-second irradiance (flx1s) product distributed in daily NetCDF-4 files. The product provides irradiance in the XRS-A (0.05–0.4 nm) and XRS-B (0.1–0.8 nm) bands from individual low- and high-irradiance sensors, as well as primary-channel merged irradiance values for each band. The processing also includes quality/status flags, corrected quadrant currents, and spacecraft/instrument ancillary information. Electron contamination correction is not applied to the 1-second irradiance data; this correction is available in the 1-minute average Level 2 product. This science-quality Level 2 stream is generated using retrospectively reprocessed data and updated calibrations and corrections; it is distributed separately from the operational Level 2 series used for real-time space-weather operations. NOAA recommends the science-quality XRS Level 2 series for scientific analysis; consult the XRS L2 ReadMe and User Guide for details.
