Description

Hinode EIS Level1 FITS data are calibrated Extreme Ultraviolet (EUV) spectroscopic observations obtained by the EUV Imaging Spectrometer (EIS) instrument onboard the Hinode solar observatory. The Level1 products are generated from Level0 FITS data through standard calibration processing, including corrections for detector bias, dark current, cosmic-ray spikes, warm pixels, and instrumental effects. The calibrated data preserve the original spatial, spectral, and temporal observation structure and are provided in FITS format with multiple Header Data Units (HDUs) containing spectroscopic image data, wavelength-window information, and associated metadata. EIS observes the solar transition region and corona in two EUV wavelength bands near 170–210 Å and 250–290 Å using slit and slot spectroscopic observations. Observation cadence, spatial coverage, exposure time, and raster configuration vary depending on the observing program.
