PUNCH Level 3 intermediate polarized science mosaic images in the MZP (Minus, Zero, and Plus for −60°, 0°, and +60°) coordinate framework. The product contains white-light polarized intensity after F-corona subtraction but before starfield removal and polarization resolution into tB and pB.
The PUNCH team continues to generate the PIM product as an intermediate processing product, but PIM is no longer distributed through the Solar Data Analysis Center because of its intermediate nature and large storage requirements. This SPASE record is retained for historical reference.
PTM is the corresponding final polarized trefoil science product after background removal and polarization resolution into tB and pB. PIM and PTM are distinct processing stages; PTM does not directly supersede PIM.
