Description

Operational Level 3 image data from the Compact Coronagraph-2 (CCOR-2) aboard the SOLAR-1 spacecraft. The data consist of background-subtracted white-light coronagraph images of the solar corona generated from Operational Level 2 data by downsampling the images by a factor of two. The images have dimensions of 1024 by 960 pixels and are provided in FITS format in units of mean solar brightness (MSB). The nominal data cadence is approximately 15 minutes.

Description

CCOR-2 Level 3 background-subtracted white-light coronal intensity stored in FITS extension #1 as a 1024 x 960 pixel compressed floating-point image array. The image is generated from Level 2 data by downsampling by a factor of two, is expressed in mean solar brightness (MSB), and uses helioprojective solar coordinates with a zenithal polynomial (ZPN) projection. The plate scale is approximately 48.55 arcsec per pixel at the reference point. The reference observation time is specified by the DATE-OBS FITS keyword.
